Lauren Paylor


Lauren has worked many roles in the food and beverage industry, including lead bartender of Drink Co., F&B Manager for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants in Washington, DC, and most recently as R&D Production Chef at Silver Lyan at the Riggs DC Hotel. Today, she spends her time creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable spaces through her work with Focus on Health. She is currently a Safe Bars Trainer, and the social media coordinator for Speed Rack. Lauren was listed on Wine Enthusiast 2021, Global Bar 100 Industry People To Know 2021 and was inducted into the Dame Hall of Fame 2021.

After working in the hospitality & drinks industries for nearly 20 years, Laura utilizes her knowledge and skills as a trained and licensed mental health professional to facilitate training, growth, and healing within the hospitality sector. She studied at DePaul University, earning a Master's of Education in Community Counseling, and is currently studying Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London in the School of Business, Economics, and Informatics.
